Recipe:

  • 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup farm fresh pecans (I prefer either small or extra large pecan pieces)

  • 2 cups peaches (any kind - canned, fresh, frozen & thawed; no syrup)

  • 1/2 cup real butter, melted

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1 1/3 cups brown sugar

  • 1 1/2 cups hot water

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350*F.

  2. Combine flour, sugar, milk and vanilla. Do not overmix. Embrace the lumps.

  3. In a 9” x 13” pan, evenly pour the melted butter.

  4. Spread the peaches over the butter. Sprinkle peaches with the farm fresh pecans.

  5. Pour the batter over the butter, peaches and farm fresh pecans. Sprinkle with brown sugar.

  6. Finally, pour the hot water over the batter. Do not stir. Trust me, it's going to turn out great. :)

  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. Enjoy!
